Asda and M&S have just launched volunteer cards where anyone housebound puts money on the “card” and can top up at any time. The cards can be emailed to a volunteer or printed and left for the volunteer to collect. The card can be topped up at any time, and to spend on the card the volunteer shows the barcode either on their phone or a print out so it is contactless.
